um. . . maybe i should use this thing
I miss having Leah around, so I went to her blog today to see how she is doing. She had posted a list reminiscing about last summer and how much fun we had. Everyone else has a blog that they keep up on, so I decided I should get one too. Okay, so I've had this blog spot since February, and I haven't done a dang thing with it. I have time to play with it now, and maybe some of you are interested in what is/isn't happening in my life.
I am living in Bountiful Court, affectionately nicknamed "the BC." It is a fishbowl of a place with wonderful people, including Clarissa Lassig, a former 2nd warder who roomed with Heather, Anna, and Kimberly when they lived in 75. Oh, how I love Clari! She is cute and tall and quirky - I just want to fold her up and put her in my pocket.
Clarissa is my RS president, so naturally she put me in as Enrichment Leader. People have threatened me with that before, but this is the first time it's ever happened to me. It will be fun.
I have discovered that I have a chronic cooking problem. If there is nothing to do and there is food within walking distance, I will find it and cook it. After Elder Oaks telling us girls to "lock the pantry" at the CES fireside a couple of weeks ago, I tried really, really hard not to cook for people. I think I did pretty good - I only made 4 dozen chocolate cinnamon rolls (I was frustrated and needed to knead something), multiple batches of my "nachos sabrosos" (I had to perfect the recipe, okay?), a pot of hot chocolate (it was raining), and four pizzas (come on, it's pizza!). Jon Harmon also told some of the people here about the Jen Challenge, so word is out. I was trying to keep it on the DL. It's okay, Jon, I'm not mad.
I gots to get going here - I'm going to volunteer at a summer camp! Yay! So I need to go talk to someone about what I'm doing . . .
